The Butchers of Kensington
(not actually butchers)

As many of you may not know, I have a shaved head. The blond hair is a wig.
I know, shocking, eh?
Now, as those of you who bic the skull know, it's not always an easy job. It takes me around 20 minutes to shave my whole head, and I have one bump on the side that I almost always slice open.
So, when I heard about a salon in town that specialized in men's haircuts, with straight-blade shaves and a sports theme, I booked myself in. The prices online looked pretty reasonable, and I'm always up for watching sports. And of course, the prospect of not having to shave was tantilizing.
Now, to their credit, MVP Hair for Men did have all the TVs they promised, despite having several tuned to "girly" shows instead of sports. And if it matters to any of you out there, the stylists were definitely hired to be pleasing to the eye. But there's a reason MVP made The List.
The girl who shaved my head did a good job of not cutting the same spot I always do, but she failed in that she left a rather large slice on the top of my skull. I'm not sure if it bled when she cut it, but if it did, she did a good job of hiding it. It wasn't until I was out of the salon that my wife noticed the gash.
On top of this, there were missed spots on the back of my neck, and when I asked for a trim of the goatee, she only trimmed up the neck, and left my fairly unruly mustache alone.
Needless to say, I didn't feel like I got my $50 worth.
So I fired off an email to the salon. Now, I'm not looking for freebies, mostly because the idea of complaining to a person with a straight-blade to my throat isn't my idea of smart. I just wanted them to acknowledge my complaint.
So far, nothing. And so, they've made The List.

Ammendment: the owner of MVP did respond to my email, appologizing for the experience, promising to look into the matter, and offering me a free head shave... so while this gesture is impressive, I think I'll pass - I don't insult people who are holding very sharp objects near me!
