“Are you sure I look alright?” Ted was contemplating his face in the mirror. After everything, the sad, sorry, old man still stared back at him every once and a while.
“Teddy, you look great. You look better than ever. You look years younger. You’re fabulous,” Emmett faux fawned over him from his seat on the overstuffed chair. It had been going on for weeks now, and this image obsessed Ted wasn’t as fun as the cute pathetic one he loved.
“I don’t feel fabulous,” Ted pouted with a sigh.
Emmett watched him for a few moments: The way his brow furrowed, the roughness of his cheeks, how he would slouch and straighten his shoulders. That was his old Teddy.
He popped up out of his chair, “Hun, you’re right, you aren’t fabulous,” he slung his arm over Ted’s shoulders, leaning his month in close to his ear, “You’re fab-u-lust.”
