“Scar-head.”
The snide insults were thrown back and forth every time the pair crossed paths. The angular blonde boy would sneer at that messy mop of black hair.
“Off saving the world Potter?!”
“Crawl under your rock Malfoy.”

“Isn’t it sweet,” the purple lady asked from her place on the wall, “Those boys are in love.”
A passing ghost gave a startled glare, “They’re bickering boys!!”
The portrait tisked, “It doesn’t matter if it’s boys or girls, witches and wizards or any combination of both. That’s love, and it’s magic.”

The boys watched each other.

The portrait sighed, “Even if they don’t know it yet.”
