Thursday, December 21, 2006 4:01 p.m. ~ First Week of the Holidays

Well I think I've spent my first week of holiday pretty productively so far. I put my first videos up on YouTube. I'm working on "Beauty Pop" videos, using scans from the manga and setting them to the drama CD for the series. I also want to do it with the "Shaman King" ones; the story about how Yoh and Anna first met. Drama CDs are nice; I wouldn't mind getting the ones for "Butsu Zone" and "FY: Genbu Kaiden."

My mom and sister have been playing "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess," so that gave me time on the computer to make my BP vids. I also felt like playing a fighting game, "Soul Calibur II" to be exact. We have the one for Gamecube because of the option to play as Link from "Zelda." If we had the PS2 one, we could have gotten the special game pad that goes with it - how "Genshiken," eh?
So far my new "Soul Calibur II" records have been for Team Battle with Xianhua, Seung Mi-Na, and Sophitia; Survival with Link (I could have kept going if Link's sword plunge attack hadn't bounced me right off the edge of the stage -_-;); Time Attack with Link (I never got K.O.-ed!); and I also did Arcade Mode for Maxi and Sophitia - such a pain.
The storyline for "Soul Calibur" is pretty interesting; especially with the characters' backgrounds tying in with one another. I wonder how a "Soul Calibur" anime would do...

I also finally uploaded artwork on my deviantART account yesterday.

On a random note, my mom is using K-Pop stars to send holiday greetings to me and my sister:

Sent 12/20/2006 5:13 AM:
Hi yah...Tohosbishie, JJ, sends you his BEST WISHES for the holidays!!

Sent 12/20/2006 5:14 AM:
And he says get a hoof on making that Xmas card you're suppose to make for your dearest silently long-suffering mother.

Sent 20/12/2006 5:12 AM:
BoA sends you Best Wishes for the holidays!!

Mom's display picture is a recent photo of BoA wearing reindeer antlers.

Yeah, my sister worked on one of her CommTech assignments and it's being used for our holiday greeting - complete with holiday K-Pop music from SM Town, and J-Pop from BoA.

I saw an episode of "Disney's Lloyd in Space," and it was about this new alien whose gender was unknown. So basically they're trying to figure out which Zionks (the alien's name) was, and it turns out that Zoinks is neither, that he/she race chooses which to be on their thirteenth birthday. Well, this was beginning to sound like that anime "Simoun," except everyone in that series is born a female and chooses if they want to be male instead on their seventeenth birthday. Anyway, in "Lloyd in Space" the girls and guys were trying to get Zoinks on their own side because of a bet the two gender groups had with one another. Of course, this plays out as a, "only spending time with me to win a bet – I thought we were friends” dilemma, and teaching the lesson about boys and girls being equally good. In the end, once Zoinks' birthday occurred on Monday, Zoinks told the others that he/she chose which gender to be but was keeping it a secret because it was none of their business. The only way they would find out would be when Zoinks develops a crush on one of them. They then proceeded to argue over who Zoinks would get a crush on. ... *cough*

1:20 a.m.
I was looking up some stuff on "Beauty Pop" and found out that the series had a break in Ciao magazine. It started back up in October with "Beauty Pop: Second Stage." Interesting... I want an anime!

[Insert 4Kids rant here.]

On a side note, I realized that Anime News Network used DBSK's Korean name (Dong Bang Shin Ki) when listing that they sang an ending song for "One Piece" instead of their Japanese name (Tohoshinki).

Tackey & Tsubasa have a new song called "Crazy Rainbow," the current opening theme for "One Piece." Now they've done both an ending and opening for the series. I thought it was them when I first heard it, and then I recognized their names in the credits. It's a fun song - the line, "I’m a crazy rainbow star," cracked me up.

Thursday, December 14, 2006 ~

Okay, it's the first day of temporary freedom since I just had my last exam yesterday - and I was rudely awakened by Dong Bang Shin Ki's "Ballons" blasting at 7:30 in the morning. =_=;
I don't care if that's the only thing that'll wake my sister up in the morning, I want sleep! So I shut the stereo off after "Gakuen Heaven's" ending theme was over and didn't wake back up until eleven.

I spent time ripping drama CDs (except the "Digimon Tamers" one), because listening to them in mp3 format is a lot more convenient. I want to use the "Beauty Pop" and "Shaman King" ones to make corresponding videos for the scenes in the manga. As for the "InuYasha" CD, listening to it over again I found some points that were quite fun. The Awards Show was good, heh-heh.
