Fishing & Lakes

We lease 8 lakes, 3 of which you can reach from the main lake with a short portage. No need to carry your motor as we have boats and motors on each lake. We also have 4 day use lakes specializing in different species. We have a Cessna 180 on floats in camp all the time.

To make sure we do not deplete our resources in any way we only take between 50 to 60 fishermen in our 5 week spring season. We also practice catch and release with barbless hooks. All trophy fish are returned to the lake for another to catch later on. We encourage you to eat as many fish as you want and you may even take some home to share with your family and friends over stories of your trip. If you want a trophy replica made it will last longer and look better than a skin mount.

Main Lakes

Holt Lake

Approximately 7 miles long and up to 1 1/2 miles wide, with plenty of bays and points to fish off. Trophy Northern Pike and Lake Trout are found in Holt. The largest Pike to be caught and released from this lake was 29 lb., while the largest trout was 28 lb.

Luke Lake

A very small lake reachable from Holt via a 15 minute walk. The largest Northern Pike caught and released here was 9 lb. while the largest trout is 7 lb.

Twist Lake

A beautiful lake with plenty of bays. Twist is a 5-minute walk through towering spruce trees from our main lake. It has a lot of Lake Trout, smaller than the fish in Holt, but it will still give you great action. We have two boats on Twist that we share with the resident bears; it is not uncommon to spot bears on this lake. The largest Northern Pike caught and released here has been 14 lb. while the largest Lake Trout is 6 lb.

Peak Lake

Peak is situated at the end of Twist Lake after a very short downhill walk. This very pretty medium-sized lake features a great amount of Lake Trout with golden coloring as well as enough Northern Pike to keep your boat occupied. We have a camp spot with a large fire pit for shore lunches set up. The largest Northern Pike caught and released was 12 lb. while the largest Lake Trout was 6 lb.

Day Use Fly Out Lakes

Airways Lake

Situated 20 miles away is a Walleye fisherman's heaven. This lake is approximately 8 miles in length. You should catch between 40 - 50 Walleye in day fishing. Largest Walleye caught and released was 5.5 lb. with the Largest Pike being 11 lb.

Vedette Lake

A Lake Trout paradise where it is not uncommon for you to catch up to 30 or 40 Lake Trout in a day. This lake also features very large Pike in its bays. Largest Lake Trout caught and released was 10 lb. while the largest Northern Pike was 23 lb.

Thomsette Lake

For Northern Pike fishermen - you could catch 40 Pike a day with several being over 10 lb. and it is not uncommon to get a 20+ lb. Pike. Also this lake has a limited supply of large Walleye in it. The largest Pike caught and released here was 25 lb. while the largest Walleye was 7.5 lb.

Banbury Lake

Has both large Pike and Walleye. The Pike go up to 25 lb. while the Walleye up to 6 lb. You will be kept busy catching and releasing fish all day on this lake.
