I told you I told you I told you. Everything Italian is good. This place isn’t really very Italian but it’s in the name. Bar Italia has become a place to chill for the hip and the beautiful. Sure there is the odd unattractive person there but what can you do?
During the day, it’s more of a coffee shop. The coffee there is excellent. I’m not a big coffee fan but I do enjoy the odd latte now and again. Or a cappuccino. The patio is great. The sun is out, there are a couple of big trees to give a bit of shade, and it’s right on Corydon. They have a food menu which is surprisingly good. It’s not really Italian cuisine, but variety from samosa to chicken fingers. It isn’t really a place to go for dinner but a filling snack or maybe lunch.
By night BI is a hotspot. If it’s nice out, you’re hard pressed to find a patio table. The inside has a good amount of seating, and then the bar side has pool and the sort. The number of beautiful girls in this place is outstanding by the way. It must be because the place has “Italia” in the name--I can relate. It is tough being Italian--you can’t beat them away with a stick.
Head over to BI for a drink one night, you’ll really enjoy it. It’s more of an urban atmosphere, you’ll hear hip hop in the background, the crowd is 20-30 years old. I love this place, the atmosphere is great and it’s a stone’s throw away from my place. I rate it a strong 8.5 on 10, so find a nice night and head over to Bar Italia for a drink and a plate of nachos.
