There might be a cost to it, but Its cheaper then purchasing insurance through a moving company. Now putting that into consideration, moving companies should have the best interest in your belongings. So should any items get damaged during the moving process, the moving company should sign an agreement to make a full repair or replace the item at no cost to you, the customer before moving any of your belongings..
