Loggerhead Turtle Fibre Blend

Back to The Knitting Girl's Fibre Gallery

When I was in Florida, I visited the Marinelife Center of Juno Beach. They rescue sick and injured sea turtles, take care of them until they are better, and release them back into the wild.

The day I went, they had a lot of loggerhead turtles there. Loggerheads have pretty shells. I made this fibre blend based on that visit.

View a page of turtle sketches from my sketchbook. For the record, I was mistaken about Misdemeanor's gender. She's actually a girl turtle. The page behind the turtle sketches showed through a bit in the scan, so it looks like three turtles and a ghost pelican.
