Well, Here's my OLETRUCK. I bought it in the Fall of 1999.

First thing Tear it apart!...Note Parts truck in the back.
The frame? It's a 1993 Chev 1/2 ton regular cab long box.I had to shorten it 16" at the stub.

The Body Mounts are 4" light wall pipe that are the same gauge as the frame. They give me the proper cab height , Give me room to use the '93 gas tank and the rubber body mounts.

I had to rebuild the kick panels...

...and the floor. I didn't need a hump in the floor ,But it just seemed right.

I replaced the wood floor with a metal one from a '96 Chev shortbox that I got from a freind who owns a body shop.

I beefed up the floor braces just because.

I had to redesign the rad support to incorperate rubber mounts and to miss the steering box and idler arm.

Here's a front view. Note the '80 Chev donor truck. This will supply the wiring harness and motor and tranny. The motor is a 350 originally from a '73 Chev van. This gives me an easy access dip stick because the vans have a longer tube.

It should sit stock height with the newer chassis under it but should ride a bit better.Still a long way to go though.

Thanks to Terry for all the interest.
He's the Oldest Kid I Know.
