Hello, my name is Jake.
I was born on July 16th, 2001 from a litter of 11 puppies in Miramichi, New Brunswick.
When my human mom saw me for the first time I was only 3 weeks old. Then she came to visit with me again when I was 5 weeks old, at that point in time it became a major love story! It was really difficult for her then, I was so adorable that she just wanted to take me home with her right away, but as I still needed my furry mom for a couple more weeks which meant that I couldn’t leave with her yet.
September 1st, 2001 was the BIG day! I finally got to move in to my new home with my human mom. I have to admit that I was very scared, but the great thing is that after just a couple of days, I felt right at home…it was a wonderful feeling!! I know that she loves me a lot, I can tell because she’s very good to me and takes me everywhere she goes…except to work of course. This summer she even took me camping a couple of times, what a great time we had! By the way, that’s where I swam for the first time and I just love the water now!
We often go walking, swimming and hiking together. She tries to keep me very active because apparently I have a lot of energy to burn off and sometimes I get frustrated if I don’t exercise enough every day. If we go out to play everyday, I’m always a happy puppy!
I also love to socialize and meet other dogs, I now have lots of furry friends that I try to play with on a regularly basis.
I have had a great life so far with my new mom, I love her a lot and know that we’ll take care of each other for along time. If you check out the pictures that we’ve added to my web page, you'll see what I mean.
