Information
'Epilepsy Support and Education', is a free easy to use e-mail group to help provide valuable information on epilepsy and updates with the latest treatments to improve the lives of those living with epilepsy. We also want to use this place so that others can share their experiences with the disorder. This group welcomes both epileptics and non-epileptics, and all ages are welcome. To start sending messages to the group, send an e-mail to:

Group Settings & Preferences
Upon joining, did you choose how you want to read the group messages? Please be aware that if you have responded to your invitation via e-mail, you will be added to the group and automatically be put on 'Individual e-mails' and receive several messages per day. To change this, go to:

NOTE: Members are ask NOT to select 'No Mail'. We ask you choose 'Special Notice' which will only have important messages from the group moderator sent to you. In the future, the group owner/moderator may switch your subscription from 'No E-mail' to 'Special Notice'.
Rules
- Because we are a group for all ages, we will not allow the following interests and/or links to be displayed on a members profile or you will be deleted/banned from the group:
- Adult profiles and other interests under adult category.
- Members promoting, linking to or contain any material or pictures of an "adult sexual nature/nudism" (pornography).
- We have zero tolerance for profanity, hatred or direct links to offensive material. This includes:
- Hatred towards any person(s)
- Teasing
- Jokes about epileptics
- Hatred towards other races
- Religion
- Abusive material against men, women and children
- Country of origin.

Members who feel they have been unfairly treated, judged, harrassed and more should contact the Owner. Our goal is to help each member feel welcome.
- Members are not to post 'Virus Warnings, Hoaxes and other alerts'. We ask that members keep all messages under the subject of 'Epilepsy'. If members are concerned over the threat of viruses:
- Keep your Anti-Virus software up to date.
- Only open mail from family and close friends.
- Avoid participating in chain letters (FWD: FWD: Open Immediately). Most times you'll be asked to forward on an e-mail to all your e-mail contacts. Unfortunatly this is how spammers will eventually get your e-mail to send spam/junk mail.
- Our group is not a debate group. ESG is a support group to help and educate those with epilepsy. If you have a disagreement with another member you are to use e-mail, Yahoo Messenger, or feel free to create your own Poll. Your messages will be deleted and any further messages you try to attempt to post on the subject will be moderated before they appear on the message board. This rule will be ENFORCED!
- No advertising shall be allowed on the message boards unless otherwise it is under the subject of 'Epilepsy'. Members who run other groups, forums or message boards are to make use the bookmark/links section. Random advertisements posted on the message board will result in your messages either being moderated or deleted. Members are encouraged to only post websites with information to help individuals with epilepsy . We will not allow websites that are 'off topic', not suitable for children, or your website aims to sell non-epilepsy products. Products that are NOT approved by the FDA, Physicians, Neurologists or Epileptologist will not be accepted.
- The links section is closely monitored on a daily basis. Non-epileptic sites and sites not suitable for children will be deleted. Members listing Adult/Porngraphic sites will be banned.
- Members are not to use the group as a dating site.
- Our group policy is to protect the privacy of each member. We will take action by not only banning you from the group, but we will also report you to Yahoo if any 'unsolicited' or 'unauthorized advertising', 'promotional materials', 'junk mail', 'spam,' 'chain letters', 'pyramid schemes', or any other form of solicitation is being sent to members of the group.
- To further protect a member's privacy, members are asked NOT to post their personal/private information such as first/last name, home address, phone number, etc. ESG messages are visible to the public (including search engines such as Google). ESG encourages members to set their preferences so that only their first name followed by their last initial appear. E-mails will always remain private and only show as johnsmith@... .Members may not hold ESG responsible for any damages.
- Any violation of the Yahoo Terms of Service will also be reported to Yahoo and your membership will be terminated.
Member's Accounts

Bouncing Members
Members must have an active e-mail account to remain a member of the group. If not, you will be removed after 1 month due to having an inactive or over quota e-mail account. If group messages sent to your email address are returned to Yahoo! Groups as undeliverable ("bouncing"), your Yahoo! Groups account may be temporarily disabled. Messages can be returned for several reasons:
- Your mailbox may be full -- try deleting messages from your Inbox.
- Your ISP may have a backlog of email to process -- contact your ISP.
- Your ISP may be blocking email from Yahoo! Groups -- contact your ISP.
If you have been removed because your e-mail account was bouncing, please Contact Us for an invite to re-join the group. Please also make sure you either put your message delivery option to 'No E-Mail' or 'Special Notices' when you are away on holidays.
