Harrison Alfred Andrews Oh Little Town of Washington from Sir Harry`s Patriotic Christmas Carols
In the wake of the narrow but dramatic Republican defeat at the polls in November, the shakeup on Capitol Hill begins with Nancy Pelosi set to become Speaker of the new House, third in line of succession by operation of Tecumseh`s curse. John Murtha was narrowly defeated for Majority Leader, but Charles Rangel is back with his proposal for a draft.

Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid
Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid

Jimmy Carter's recent release of Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid has drawn much criticism for a pro - palestinian bias.

Democratic celebrations may be premature as Senator Tim Johnson, a Democrat from South Dakota, succumbed to a stroke. In intensive care after surgery, Johnson ailment underscores the fragility of the Democrats` new majority. Some Democratic Parisans suggest a CIA strike at the Democratic Majority.

There are times, said Jack Acies crime reporter of FP, like the present when I wonder if The Bush were the most brilliant of all men. After all he came to power in a bloodless coup supported in the main by General Powell; no one is willing to speak of that. I do chuckle at Mr Gore as I do at most liberals for infantilism. Gore who has some claim on being an army veteran should have understood the dynamics of the situation. wesley clark was a democrat. gore should have knocked on clark`s door. I can`t say I know what The Bush has up his sleeve, but it seems to me he gave up rather easily on two razor thin senate elections when his appointees to the US supreme court could have rubberstamped Bush`s choice. Time will tell exactly what the Bush has in mind.

On Representative Rangel`s proposal Republicans deny that there`s any need for a draft. The thinning ranks and growing dissatisfaction in the military are more than enough according to Republican congressmen. Not so, according to field commanders and the Commandant of the Marine Corps who admit the need for not a few good men.

Seemingly the bipartisan Iraqi Study Group which has suggested a phased withdrawal would agree. It calls the US plans in Iraq overly optimistic given the limited manpower resources available.

Contrary to all expectations, President Bush, according to the Establishment Press, is expected to rush 20, 000 new troops into Irak.

The sole question is where the President expects to find 20, 000 troops. We may, according to some members of the Society, find Der Fumbler at the same level the last saw-dust dictator operated at when faced with the onslaught of the Russian hordes he started to move imaginary divisions back and forth on the map.

Meanwhile much to the chagrin of Representative Rangel who won the Silver Star in Korea, a new recruiting campaign has been undertaken by the Administration focusing on the Black community as well as the children of veterans. Enough says, Representative Rangel, lets spread the burden of military service out.

As Rumsfeld staged an impressive change of command allegedly held among beleaguered American troops, sad news filters in daily from the front where the Iraqis contest every step the US takes. In one incident a female GI committed suicide over the war crimes she was ordered to commit. Not unsurprising as the official schizophrenic attitude prevails, another soldier received a sixty year term for war crimes committed on command.

German troops in Afghanistan refused US orders to take the offencive or respond to enemy threats. In declining orders they told astonished US commanders that as the mission was too hazardous, they would take commands only from the Bundesrepublik.

The report of the Iraqi Study Group sent the President`s lapdog Tony Blair scurrying to Washington for instructions. If Bush backs up suddenly, Blair`s nose may come flying through Bush`s mouth.

The bitter defeat in the election led The Leader to dismiss Donald Rumsfeld the defense secretary and the author of the Irak disaster. Rumsfeld will be replaced by "Dr" Gates, one of The Leader`s father`s cronies from CIA.

According to Dr Davies, there have been reports that "Dr" Gates recognizes that the Secretary of Defense ought to be on speaking terms with other members of the cabinet.

Siege: A Novel of the Eastern Front 1942

Russ Schneider is best known for his 1999 release, GOTTERDAMMERUNG 1945 - GERMANY'S LAST STAND IN THE EAST, regretfully out of print.

On a lighter news note, the crusty Vice-president announced a joyous blessing. His daughter and her life partner announced that they are waiting for a blessed event, a Cheney grandchild.

So much for the Bush family values.

Bush paid a visit to Vietnam where he donned a Ho jacket. Bush protested that his reception was not as grand as that of President Clinton. The Vietnamese hosts chuckled, "He was a traitor; you were only a coward." Bush`s visit to Moslem Indonesia touched off rioting not covered in the Establishment Press.

Meanwhile almost unnoticed, Russia quietly re - nationalized its oil industry, pillaging the foreign investors.

So much for globalization! A wave of nationalizations could follow the recession of US power much as it did the collapse of UK power in 1960s.

Our favorite Serb Bob Dj is said to be working on an important editorial opinion on the subject.

In the midst of tragedy there is humor. A newly elected MC will take the oath of office on the Koran, ending a 216 year tradition of using the Bible as the Holy Book of Record.

It is as if a congressman in January of 1943 asked to take the oath of office on "Mein Kampf."

This may find the President in good stead in his new surroundings. He`s building a hacienda in Paraguay, adopted the home of many a former German warlord.

The Society acknowledges that it had read The Koran in the past but would not publicly do so out of respect for the losses of 9 - 11 and in the Iraki war. We find it implausible that the Post Office sells Mouslem postage stamps. Certainly, it serves only to confuse the American people. The Arabs are not deluded.

The Moslem EID stamp is ridiculous, says David Lawrence. I could just see the Iranians or the Saudi Arabians producing a Chanukah or Christmas stamp. The see us as their enemy. We see them as angry adolescents who need some kind parenting. Bush originally said you're either for us or against us and we should go after terrorists wherever they are hiding. That does not mean that we should give moderate Moslems a pass. It means that their whole religion is infected by fascism and that we should censure the body that controls the limbs of Islamofascism. Let them have their silly stamp. But not now. Only after they've earned it by turning in their own cells to the federal authorities and denouncing jihad. As long as they sympathize with or feed the enemy, they do not deserve their own stamp. They do not even deserve to be walking around free in our society. We interned the Japanese in WWII for knocking off a couple of thousand soldiers at Pearl Harbor. On 9/11 the Moslems knocked off three thousand civilians. Not to mention all their other atrocities around the world. It's time Uncle Sam stopped acting like Dr. Spock. IF you spare the rod, you spoil the child who kills the parent. The liberals are rearing a nation of Menendez Brothers.

The Society, its mentor Dr James Davies Lord Woodburry dissenting, declared the stamp a bio - hazard.
