Tazz is our 1999 Egyptian / CMK gelding. He is bred and owned by C & N Arabians. He is the product of our hard dedication. He is our best foal produced to date (in our opinion). We'd like to take this time to thank Brian and Marjorie Wieben of Katalac Arabians for leasing us Pride Sonbolah and giving us the chance to produce this spectacular up and coming colt. Tazz has a Saqlawi and related strains dominant pedigree (49.5%). Kuhaylan and related strains (43.2%), Other (7.3%). Tazz is exceptionally sweet and mild-mannered. With correct conformation, extreme type, muscular body and excellent bone. Tazz has a gorgeous 'floaty' trot to top things off. "Kuhaylan horses are muscular, compact, and of symmetrical, rounded outlines. There is a flow from head to tail, the parts flow together. They are deep-chested, wide from front and behind. The back seems very strong, the body deep. The muscles seem round and prominent, the gaskins and forearms are broad and strong. Angles in the quarters are relatively closed. Head carriage is moderately high, and the neck does not appear long. In fact, no feature stands out as prominent. The head has very detailed facial features (prominent veins, tear bones, wrinkled skin, etc) with extremely broad forehead and great width between the eyes and jaws, very large eyes. Ears seem small. The disposition is gentle and kind. Kuyhaylans combine beauty and muscular strength, and make excellent all-around saddle horses." Quoted from Strains and Strain Types by Jeanne Craver with Charles Craver. Tazz is a perfect example of a Kuhaylan strain horse. <P> As for Tazz's pedigree - we decided to double on the Sameh (Gamil El Kebir) sire line which is known for athletic horses. This is the same sire line as Ibn Rabdan, one of the most important horses in the Egyptian breeding program. All lines in top and bottom consist of Champions of some sort - Halter and Performance as well as one line to Endurance. The doubling up of the *Raffles / Al-Marah horses was a great idea for versatility as well as athletic ability. The outcrosses of *Asadd++ through *Sultann and Sheikh El Bey++ through Shamruk++ and *Soufian doubly added the exquisite beauty. Tazz was born under the Taurus sign. The sign of the BULL is steadfast, courageous and firm. These horses are often very broad-shouldered, muscular and solid. Characteristics of the Taurean horse - stoicism, dependability, compassion and good sense.
