Feirouz - Al Khamsa Arabian Mare. Graciously on lease from Maire Burne of Strathmore, Alberta. Feirouz arrived on July 2, 2006. Within minutes of stepping off the trailer, she went through the "kid" test. My oldest son had kicked a soccer ball and it hit her front feet and she just looked down at it with an "oh what the heck am I supposed to do with that" look. She is a very lovely mare, sweet temperament, lovely conformation, and a decent looking head. Feirouz is trained under saddle so we will hopefully get many enjoyable rides with her in the future. UPDATE!!! - Feirouz is a lovely mare to ride - though she started out a little headstrong it wasn't long before my 8 year old could ride her out of the yard and into the field as well as ponying my 2 1/2 year old neice (much to the joy of Emmalee!)
