History

Lioness branch began as one of the Lioness service Clubs that were operating around the world for over 50 years. On September 26 1985. The following were the charter members: Pat Berg, Shirley Boreen, Maxine Bourgette, Audrey Brown, Cheryl Brown, Nita Burke, Gladys Fiola, Brenda George, Maureen Gogal, Isabel Haubrich, Lil Hintz, Irene Hrushka, Lynda Johnston, Debbie Morash, Miriam Rahaman, Janet Scholz, Eileen Shaw, Julie Shevernoha, Molly Snyder, Diane Weir, and Rosemarie Wondrasek.

On 21 June 2002 the Churchbridge Lioness Club members joined the Churchbridge Lions Club and formed the Churchbridge Lioness Branch of the Churchbridge Lions Club. This decision was made in order to increase the Churchbridge Lions Club membership above the minimum level and assist in increasing the district membership. This also gave Lioness members full recognition as members of Lions Clubs International.

We Support: Swimming Pool, Minor Sports, Churchbridge Elementary School (CES), Churchbridge High School (CHS), Halloween Family Dance, Annual Craft Show, Christmas Hampers, Christmas Town Decorating Award, Seniors Supper with the Lions, Assist with Lions Bingos, Ladies Night Out, Sunday Brunch, Mother’s Day flowers, Town Parade, and Welcome Baskets to new-comers & babies.
