Teaching
Consistently taught private lessons on the Highland Bagpipes since turning professional in 1978
Instructor at the Kingston Summer School of Piping 1995, 1996, 1997

Instructed at the Spokane Piobaireachd Society summer school in 1978-1982
Chief Instructor at the Spokane Piobaireachd Society summer school in 1988 and 1990. In charge of overseeing the classroom structure, making a commitment to see every student in the school privately in the two weeks that the school runs. Responsible for the tuition of the other instructors at the school.
Instructed at the Gaelic College in Cape Breton in 1990.
Have instructed individuals and bands in a series of weekend clinics for the past 20 years in New Brunswick, Toronto, Winnipeg, Regina, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Halifax, Portland, Chicago, Boston, New York, Florida and Minnesota. Dealt with all aspects of piping and pipe band playing.
Currently on the judges panel in Ontario, the Prairies, and both east and west coasts of Canada as well as the western United States

Joined 78th Highlanders [Citadel] of Halifax, and have played a leadership role in music and set-up. 2003 Canadian and North American Champions.

World Champions, 1987 and North American champions 13 times. Pipe Sergeant of the 78th Fraser Highlanders from 1995-97. Member of the 78th Fraser Highlanders Pipe Band from 1982-1997
CITY OF VICTORIA
Joined City of Victoria Pipe Band at age 12 and played with them from 1974-1982.
