"Members of 26th Field Regiment of Brandon (which includes locals Claire and Brian English, James McFadden and Ron Christie of Rapid City) paraded and played their pipes and drums prior to the official dedication of the mural on Super Thrifty Drug Mart. Since the mural displays part of Rivers' heritage with a train, grain fields and military personnel, it was appropriate to hear a pipe band- a sound that was once very common in this town."
