
Hot Apple Cider
Ingredients:
- 16 whole cloves
- 2 large apples, peeled but left whole
- 1 gallon apple cider
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 1 cup beef stock
- ground nutmeg
Directions:
- Insert 8 cloves into each apple.
- Pour the cider into a large pot and add apples and cinnamon sticks. Bring to a boil then cover and reduce heat to low. Simmer for one hour.
- Discard apples and cinnamon and ladle hot punch into mugs.
- Sprinkle with nutmeg and serve.
